We are excited to announce that Dr. Kaleigh Stabenau is starting as departmental Inpatient Hospitalist in the capacity of a staff physician. Dr. Stabenau joins UCI after completing her undergraduate degree at Bradley University, her MD at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria, and her residency training in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Most recently, she was the first surgeon in the country to complete a space medicine fellowship at the Arizona Program for Exploration (APEX) Medicine and Surgery at the University of Arizona / Banner University Medical Center Phoenix. She will be working with UCI and continuing her work with Space X. She will be joining a small group of innovative physicians to build the space medicine program here at UC Irvine.
