Dr. Douglas Trask has placed his 300th hypoglossal nerve stimulator implant (Inspire®). Inspire® Upper Airway Stimulation, an FDA-approved treatment for obstructive sleep apnea that includes an implanted system and patient remote, works by sending an electrical pulse to the nerve that controls tongue movement in order to keep the airway open.
