It is with great excitement that Dr. Mark Swanson joins us as an Associate Professor of clinical otolaryngology. He completed his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at Miami University of Ohio and his MD degree at the Ohio State University. He followed that with residency training at USC, after which he spent time in the other Miami, FL to complete a fellowship in head & neck oncologic surgery and microvascular reconstruction. He returned to USC to start his career, where he built a mature practice and established a name for himself both regionally and nationally. Dr. Swanson is now the fourth member of our head and neck oncologic surgery division. He brings our department’s total faculty number to 16, with 13 full-time clinicians.
