Congratulations to Dr. Fan-Gang Zeng for being awarded the title of Chancellor’s Professor at the start of this academic year. Dr. Zeng was nominated for the title by Dr. Tjoson Tjoa, Chair of the Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, and awarded by the Dean and Chancellor of the university.

This university-wide title is used to recognize scholars who have demonstrated unusual academic merit and whose continued promise for scholarly achievement makes them of exceptional value to the university.

There are a total of 73 Chancellor’s Professors in the entire UCI system, and Dr. Zeng is one of only ten who have earned the title from the School of Medicine.
