The Department of Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery at University of California, Irvine is proud to highlight the tremendous success of our sixth global webinar since the onset of the pandemic—an event that continues to reflect our commitment to innovation, education, and international collaboration.
This year’s program reached an extraordinary scale, with over 2,000 registrants from 81 countries, underscoring the truly global impact of this initiative. The webinar featured 75 distinguished speakers and delivered 29 hours of structured content, including a dynamic mix of lectures and expert panel discussions spanning the breadth of otolaryngology–head and neck surgery.
This effort was made possible through meaningful international partnerships, including collaboration with University Klinikum Eppendorf – Hamburg-, as well as esteemed colleagues in Western Australia and South Korea. Together, these partnerships helped create a rich, diverse academic experience that transcended geographic boundaries.
Remarkably, this large-scale endeavor was driven by the leadership and vision of two students, Kyle Sugita and Nathaniel Baek, whose efforts exemplify the spirit of initiative and excellence within our program. They were supported by a dedicated team of 14 student volunteers, whose contributions were instrumental to the seamless execution of the event.
We are also grateful for the enthusiastic participation of the full faculty from UC Irvine and our colleagues in Hamburg, whose engagement ensured both the depth and quality of the program.
This webinar stands as a powerful example of what can be achieved through collaboration, mentorship, and a shared commitment to advancing global education in our field.
