Otolaryngology Updates Course
Otolaryngology Updates Course

The Otolaryngology Updates course was founded by Dr. Leslie Bernstein over 50 years ago and was held in Hawaii for several decades. In the mid-2000s, Dr. Bernstein “transferred” course management to Dr. Roger Crumley and Dr. Brian Wong at UCI, who moved it to the Coachella Valley and had a very successful regional course for many years. COVID hit shortly after our February 2020 course, and with Dr. Brian Wong’s visionary directorship, the course transformed into an international around-the-clock virtual course.

The virtual course has changed the landscape for how continuing education can be delivered, and now participants around the globe look forward to the 48 hours of the year when there is a CNN-style otolaryngology news network providing updates to clinical practice. Our collaborating partners at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) in Germany and at the Asan Medical Center, University of Ulsan College of Medicine in South Korea are critical to allowing us to provide around-the-clock content.
