Dr. Yarah Haidar was recently recognized as the UCI Residency Program Director of the Year!

She has done an incredible job balancing the educational needs of the residents with the service demands of our patients and the department, and has served as advisor, mentor, and confidant to our wonderfully diverse group of resident trainees. In the past year, she has revamped the residency didactic curriculum, helped stretch the residency coverage for the Irvine operating rooms despite an intermittently reduced resident workforce, and successfully expanded the overall size of our residency training program.
